Dr. Ana Isabel García Díez is a specialist in Diagnostic Radiology and Musculoskeletal Imaging at Hospital Clínic Barcelona, where she combines clinical practice with teaching and research.
Her professional and scientific activity focuses on advanced musculoskeletal MRI, osteoarticular disorders, muscle imaging and quantitative assessment of musculoskeletal health.
Her research interests include muscle composition and quality, MRI neurography, hip disease and advanced assessment of musculoskeletal ageing, with particular relevance to the prevention and long-term health of physically active individuals.
At BAIS 2026, Dr. García Díez will present “Longevity and Musculoskeletal Health Throughout the Sporting Life”, addressing muscle mass and quality, bone density and quality, and the role of imaging in supporting prevention, performance and healthy ageing in athletes.
