Dr. Eva Llopis is Head of the Radiology Department at Hospital de la Ribera and at IMSKE (European Musculoskeletal Institute) in Valencia, Spain.
She is actively involved in a number of professional and scientific organisations, including ISS, ESR, ESSR, ESMRMB, SERME, SERAM and Erasmus.
She is a Past President of SERME, the Spanish musculoskeletal radiology society, and a Past President of the ESSR (European Society of Skeletal Radiology). She currently serves as Secretary of the Executive Committee of the ISS (International Skeletal Society).
Her research activity focuses particularly on joint disease, sports medicine and interventional musculoskeletal radiology.
Throughout her career, she has received numerous awards and distinctions, regularly lectures at international scientific meetings and has contributed chapters to books in the field of musculoskeletal imaging.
She is also the author of more than 50 peer-reviewed scientific articles, reflecting a strong clinical, academic and research profile in musculoskeletal radiology.
At BAIS 2026, Dr. Llopis will participate in two sessions focused on muscle injury: “Muscle Injury Nomenclature: Towards an International Consensus” and “Hamstring Injuries: From Imaging Findings to Return to Play”, bringing her expertise in musculoskeletal imaging, sports medicine and the clinical application of radiology in athletes.
